The view from the Canadian History Museum is incredible, giving you a front-row seat to the fireworks extravaganza against the backdrop of Ottawa's famous landmarks.

Unlike any other event, however, I had a personal connection to this show as it became the backdrop for a life-changing moment when I proposed to my fiancée (@theottawadiaries on Instagram) during the grand finale!
